Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Client/Group Goals

A Population of Seniors Seeking to Improve and Maintain Mobility/Flexibility.

Some of the senior participants reported the following progress:
By the end of the fourth session, one of the senior participants, Fatima, reported that her shoulder is much better.

Olga reported that she will continue to use these joint freeing movements for her hands because she had carpal tunnel surgery 9 years ago and these movements are similar to what she was given when she first had surgery.

Report briefly on each Kosha belowProgress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas
Physical level

As reported above, one of the senior participants reported that her shoulder condition got better. There was no report of worsening from any of the seniors.

All the participants enjoyed the joint freeing movements and the Yoga Nidra the most.

Energetic level

Most of the seniors breath normally.

Maria O. has the right nasal passage partially blocked by a growth. This makes it hard for her to breathe deeply. She is in the process of finding a doctor to help her with this problem.

Emotional

I found that all the members of the group seemed to be emotionally stable and friendly.

Intellectual / Sense of self

All of the members of the group seem to feel well with their sense of self.

Spiritual orientation and support plan

All of the seniors cared for each other. They advised each other often, smiled and helped each other. For example, they brought water for each other and reminded each other of when the class was starting.

All of the seniors in the group have a spiritual orientation – it can be related to family, music, feeling connection to love and peace, God and service.

Additional Information
Feedback received from client/group, anecdotal or written

Maria C. (Teresa) said that the deep relaxation and meditation was good us.

Gaby was so pleased with the deep relaxation and meditation. She expressed that it was “so peaceful”. Several other members agreed.

Helaine said at the end of the class that “this is exactly what she needed and that it was healing for her.”

All of the seniors were grateful and said thank you.

Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework)

• Do these joint freeing practices in the morning when you get up and if you can do them before going to sleep. Do a little meditation and deep breathing.

• Remember to practice truthfulness with yourselves and how we really feel.
