Your care plan should be approved by your mentor, with any amendments they suggested, prior to your remaining Yoga Therapy sessions.
Care PlanOutline should be a practice adapted to the needs of that client/group, including:
  • Check in, centering, balanced hatha yoga set considering contraindications, relaxation (with imagery as appropriate),
  • balanced pranayama considering contraindications, meditation/centering.
  • Please include at least one suggestion from Karma, Bhakti, Raja, or Jnana Yoga tailored for this client/group.
  • Over time, we want to see something from each branch, selected, adapted and re-framed appropriately. Tools from each module should be used (not on each client/group – but overall)
The outline should show the sequence of practices as you plan to offer them.

Activities

Centering and discussion- awareness to where we are in energy level, its the end of the day at the beginning of the week, it so important to take notice.
Asana-JAPA, standing side bending, low lunging with twisting, warrior 2, triangle, chair, supported tree pose (moving to stand on 1 foot), pelvic tilts, bridge, resting pigeon, leg circles, supported shoulder stand with block,
Savasana with elevated legs and yoga nidra
Pranayama- 3 part breath, Ujjayi
Seated Mediation on bolster, body scan with imagery of lightness, a pain free existence
Philosophy - Body pain being and emotion that can be (slightly) controlled by thoughts. That we can reframe our bodies fatigue, and stiffness and pain and maybe even lessen it a bit. (chitti vritti)

This group is still progressing nicely, just here with the weather becoming colder there is more stiffness and general pain in their bodies.
