Homework assignment to client/group

Keep in mind the practice of non-harm (ahimsa) and start with yourself. yourself. Make an effort not to allow what others say to disturb your peace. If you do not engage and do not react will result in no harm to you and others.

Think of yourself in good terms, don’t use negative words to describe yourself.

Along with keeping the mind on non-harm, we must use our will power to accept things that we cannot control and that are painful. As we learned about Tapasya – accepting pain but not causing pain. Accepting pain helps us to become mentally stronger. Accepting things as they are. Living life more simply.

Practice being mindful/present when you drive, shower, make your omelet, etc.

Now that you have been able to record the Yoga Nidra session, please avail yourself of that session whenever you need it.

Client/Group progress summary

We have not met since September 10th. Client canceled a few times then she was away for a while and when she returned has had to relocate to a new place because the house that she purchased earlier this year still does not have a kitchen, bathroom and heat. She and her family are in a rental unit now until May of next year. Clients’ life has been chaotic and as a result she has not been able to use any of the Yoga tools that she has been given although she does want to be able to use these tools.

Client reported that she has been doing less self-deprecation.

Client usually wakes up with a headache and she uses a small computer screen for work and she thinks that this is also contributing to her headache. After doing Yoga Nidra client said that “her headache was much better.”

Reflection and self-evaluation

This client is a Yoga teacher and she is a very good and nice person. I hope that these few sessions of Yoga Therapy will help her and inspire her to seek out more Yoga tools in the future when her life is in a better place.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
