| Session Date | 10/24/2024 |
| Session Number | 3 |
| Total Session Minutes | 75 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | 1. Joint Freeing Practice 2. Breathing Practice (alternate nostril breathing, Brahmani breathing) 3. Guided Meditation |
| Activities | I began the session by asking Julie, Liliana, and Jocelyne if there had been any changes since we last met. I led guide breathing practice for a few minutes and moved to a quick body scan to observe each part of the body and acknowledge any sensations including pain as it is. For the final relaxation, I guided a 15-minute body scan with visualization to relax physically and mentally. . |
| Client/Group progress summary | The clients reported experiencing the benefits of breathing practice, noting that alternate nostril breathing is helping to reduce their stress. Some of this stress is caused by pain from arthritis. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | This short case study covers 4-5 sessions, with the key practices focused on breathing exercises the joint freeing series, and wisdom teaching. It is encouraging to see the clients' improvement through the breathing practice, which has significantly helped reduce their stress, particularly related to arthritis pain. I believe that if they continue to benefit from the breathing practices, they can experience even greater results from the joint freeing exercises as they continue. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | I will continue to follow this care plan for the next several sessions. Based on their feedback, I may modify or add other practices. |
