Homework assignment to client/group

She read to chapter on santosha in the book the Yamas and Niyamas by Deborah Adele and she had an interesting observation. She states that she wanted to get some new things for her houses she felt that this was not in alignment with santosha but she wanted them anyway. She decided that she wanted to be honest with herself and note it at least in her journal.
the next day she did not go and bought these things.
We discussed the concept of santosha together which she found helpful.
She states that she did forget to practice 2 minutes of alternate nostril breathing so we decided to try agin with only 1 minute.
She did continue to journal and do cross word puzzles as well as walking mostly evert day.

Activities

Met with client after a small break. She states that she tried to keep a routine but she had out of town guests for a long weekend and she was not able to keep the routine. She was able to before and now she will get back into a routine.
She states that she is doing well overall, no new physical complaints. Her anxiety is about the same, maybe a little less as she has not watched any news. She is planning to vote early.
Talked about the requirements for the capstone project and she filled out the GAD 7 form. Her total score was 14.
We did wall push ups, 3 feet from the wall with starting the measurement on the heels. She was able to do 16 push ups in 1 minute.
We paused for 3 minutes and them measured how long she could hold out her arms to the side. She had to lower her right arm ( weaker arm) after 1,48 minutes.
We then stated with centering and mountain pose. 3 arm raises with inhalation and exhalation in prayer position.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
