| Session Date | 10/30/2024 |
| Session Number | 4 |
| Total Session Minutes | 90 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | 1. Joint Freeing Practice 2. Balancing and heel-drop exercise 3. Breathing Practice (alternate nostril breathing, Brahmani breathing) 4. Guided Meditation |
| Activities | I began the session by asking Julie, Liliana and Jocelyne if there were any changes since we last met. I led guide breathing practice for a few minutes and moved to quick body scan to observe each part of the body. Then I led joint freeing on the chair, balancing practice and heel-drop exercise. For breathing practice, we practiced alternate nostril breathing for 3 minutes together. For the final relaxation, I guided a 15-minute body scan with visualization to relax both physically and mentally. |
| Client/Group progress summary | Julie, Liliana, and Jocelyne are making progress, both physically and energetically. Especially Liliana is new to yoga, but she is trying to learn more. I use joint freeing to most clients and everyone likes this and they are benefiting from this practice. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I always tell the students to “listen to the body” but Liliana admitted that she did not listen to her body and is experiencing heel pain. I explain the concept of “ahimsa” to listen to the body and take care of themselves. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | I will continue to follow this care plan for the next several sessions. I may modify or add other practices based on the feedback from them. |
