Homework assignment to client/group

The client was really interested in learning about the path of raja yoga, she wanted to continue reading the book about the Yamas and Niyamas by Deborah Adele, she was especially interested in learning about Tapas, so we agree she would read this chapter and we would discuss this in our next session.
She did alternate nostril breathing for 1 minute and feels that she is able to increase it to 2 minutes, she continues to practice shoulder rolls and chest openers.

Activities

She states that she is doing well overall, no new physical complaints. Her anxiety decreased a little, she still has not watched any news. She voted early.

We started with centering and mountain pose. 3 arm raises with inhalation and exhalation in prayer position.
Arm circles, head circles
wall push ups 2 sets of 10
shaking out the arms
3 chest openers
3 arm raises with pushing down on an imaginary beach ball ( godes pose )
on the mat in table top circles, cat cow, child pose coming up from child into cow then cat, than back into Childs pose
2 half dogs.
We did not do downward dog or planks today, because she noticed a pulling and slightly pain in her right shoulder /chest area.
She was able to do table top and half dogs,
from table top into raised bow, she really enjoyed the strech
from mermaid pose rising up into star pose
savasana, bridge pose then into shoulder stand with block
chest to knee pose
spinal twist
guided deep relaxation

Client/Group progress summary

She is really happy about going deeper into yoga philosophy .She noticed a slight decrease in her anxiety and she continues to work on developing a daily routine for herself.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I am exited to teach the client more about the path of raja yoga, I am letting her take the lead so we are not discussion the Yamas and Niyamas in order, but we rather go at her pace and her interest ..

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

I will continue the practice as described above
