Client/Group progress summary

The client was sad; she was disappointed with the election result and tried to cope as best as she could, but not successful. We discussed non-attachment and acceptance. I reminded her to take care of herself, be kind to others even those who have different political viewpoints. She avoided news that would disturb her peace; we discussed pratyahara. Her balance has improved. She could do standing on her right leg in the tree pose without holding on to a chair. She still needed to hold on to a chair when she was standing on the left leg.

Reflection and self-evaluation

The client was quieter than usual at the beginning of the session. I noticed that she did not want to talk very much; she usually told me about how her week went, but not for this session. I thought that movement would be helpful in reducing stress and anxiety. Therefore, we briefly discussed yogic teaching that, I think, would be helpful to the client, and jumped right into asana. After the asana, pranayama and meditation, the client seemed more relax.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
