Client/Group progress summary

The client is continuing to do well. She and her husband have consulted with a nutritionist and will do a 21-day program for anti-inflammatory diet & gut healing in December. Her balance has improved. She did not need to hold on to a wall during tree pose; we held the pose for 20 seconds. The length of her inhalation and exhalation is 5 seconds each.

Reflection and self-evaluation

The client uses an integrated approach to address her health concerns. Based on our previous conversations, the client’s diet is quite good (mostly plant based). She has taken upon herself to consult with a nutritionist. Her commitment to maintain a healthy lifestyle is apparent. It is very refreshing to observe. We discussed setting a dedicated space for her home practice, especially for meditation. We discussed Klesha, especially how the client is worrying about her daughter (poor physical and mental health, but not listening to her mother’s advice). We talked about it is natural for the client to be concerned (after all she is the mother) and pointed to her daughter the direction towards better health and well-being. However, it is her daughter’s journey, and she will have to make her own decision on how she wants to live her life. The session started with So Ham meditation to continue with Klesha theme (the first klesha is ignorance – we forget who we are).

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
