Client/Group progress summary

One client has severe sinus congestion during the past week. The client who has been dealing with lower back pain is doing better (she went to a physical therapist to adjust her sacrum and lumbar spine); her dog is also doing better. The third clients have improved in mobility and flexibility. The elderly client did not come to the class today, but her mobility and flexibility have improved based on my observation during the last session (she was able to get up and down to the floor with ease). Two clients were able to stand on one leg for at least 15 seconds, while the third client had no problems. Interestingly that the client who could stand on one leg with no problems found standing tandem challenging. Conversely, one client who could only stand on one leg for 15 seconds had no problems with standing tandem.

Reflection and self-evaluation

All clients shared their thoughts on what they find useful. These include gentle movement throughout the day and self-care. I use an example of someone cutting us off on a highway and we can choose to be calm instead of being angry and stressed through the practice of yoga (movement, breath, yogic teaching) to not being reactive to the situation. I also talked about a healthy diet for a healthy body.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
