Homework assignment to client/group

She states that she did read a little about Svadhyaya, self study and found it very timely because she wants to learn more about her own reaction to people that voted for the opposite party she did and not to be so reactive. Her example was that her uncle had very different experiences in live and a very different up bringing and she knows that he voted for the opposite party because of his beliefs and not that he wants to take away her health insurance.
She states that she wants to continue with the reading.

Activities

Met with client and she states that she is still not feeling well, she still feels like her head is in a cloud, so we decided to not practice any froward bends and on a gentle practice.
Started in mountain pose followed by centering and setting an affirmation
Shoulder rolls , head rolls, 3 arm raises and focus on inhalation and exhalation
shifting weight from left to right, hip circles,
tree pose to help with balance and focus
moon salutation including goddess pose
warrior two, not very long because she felt it in her right arm and armpit
shoulder rolls, standing cat cow
standing arm raises with twist
on the mat on an elevated reclining position on a bolster with her shoulders slightly pulled down by gravity (she finds this comfortable)
tense and release, followed by focusing on the breath breathing new energy in and letting go of the old.
Followed by a guided meditation.

Client/Group progress summary

I feel that she client is making progress in that she is able to see things from a different perspective and that she is taking measures for example not to watch the news to improve her anxiety. She has a group on Sundays were she very regularly practices breath work and finds this very helpful. She enjoys to practice yoga stretches.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I was able to adopt to my clients situation and change my treatment plan accordingly.
poses were more gently and talked bout the importance of self care

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
