Please include at least one suggestion from Karma, Bhakti, Raja, or Jnana Yoga tailored for this client/group.
Over time, we want to see something from each branch, selected, adapted and re-framed appropriately. Tools from each module should be used (not on each client/group – but overall)
The outline should show the sequence of practices as you plan to offer them. Your care plan proposal should be approved by the mentor before session 2 if possible, or 3 if approval is delayed by mentor.

Here’s the Stress Release Sequence again for when you want an energetic boost and/or need to move some energy. Breath of Joy and Kapalabhati are always a good choice as well.
STRESS RELEASE
Movement - connecting to body, breath, voice and heart. Find a greater sense of connectivity to ourselves - greater sense of inner peace, which enables us to show up differently during our day.
Standing first - eyes opened or closed - sense and feel the soles of your feet connecting w/ the earth
Downward Breath - vocalize - pause - connecting to the earth with your feet - feeling the roots with the earth - feel the stress / energy draining into the earth
Bounce - vocalize - Invite a soft bounce. Let your whole body receive the rhythm. Feel the Rhythm moving up the body - opening up energy channels - grounding into the earth - letting go of the jaw, the voice - your rhythm, your pace. Eyes are open or closed.
Opening up the rivers of energy of you so they can flow
Checking in - what’s moving inside of you now?
Swing - Chi Release - Hah! Hah! Swing slowly back to stillness
Soft Knees / Palm over Palm on Heart - Notice sensations - What does my heart want me to know?
Shake - one leg at a time - relax - letting any stuck energy / emotions to move / letting it flow - letting it go - shaking off what no longer serves you. Letting go of whatever might be stuck or truncated in the core of the body.
Reverse Swan Dive (3x) - inhale up then exhale release with an audible Sigh or Ahhhh…. Inhale up - exhale Ahhhh…
AYURVEDA
Here are some resources for more info re Ayurveda. Banyan Botanicals is about all things Ayurveda. I’m not suggesting you buy any of their products - just check out their Learn Ayurveda section, where you can take their ‘Dosha Quiz’ and explore various articles, blog posts on Ayurveda. Fascinating stuff.
You might also check out Dr. David Frawley’s site. He’s credited with bringing Ayurveda to the US. One book that might be of interest to you: Yoga & Ayurveda, which is available on Amazon.

Client/Group progress summary
Client's energy was subdued. She began our session with explaining how difficult these past two months have been for her - this being their first year in their new home on the West Coast. She said sun's up at 7 and sets around 4 with mostly gray during the daytime. I mentioned Seasonal Affective Disorder. She agreed. I asked her consider what she's recommended to her clients over the years when faced with SAD.
She added that she hasn't felt energized or motivated to practice Asanas lately. Said she's doing well with Pranayama. We agreed to practice some energizing Asanas and Pranayama. At the end of our session she was much more vibrant and centered. We also chatted about habits and Abyhasa and Varaigya.
Reflection and self-evaluation
It was good to meet the client where she's at. I was grateful to have the tools and practices to support her with feeling more energized and connected with her body. I was also glad to help her see that what she's facing, at least in part, is very common this time of year. I'm also glad that I suggested she consider what she's recommended to her clients over the years when faced with SAD.
Final Client/Group Report
After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
We agreed to continue in January. I asked client to give some thought on specific areas she wants to focus on for the New Year.
