4. Reframed Yoga Philosophy
I recently heard a talk by Brother Saralandana of the Self Realization Fellowship in which presented three essential qualities that foster positive interactions and relationships, they are Kindness, Harmony and Consideration. I borrowed the idea of talking about these three qualities under the umbrella of Ahimsa to the Group. I also presented three stories (one story borrow from Brother Saralandana) to illustrate if the actors demonstrated Kindness and Consideration to maintain Harmony or if they did not. I told each story up to a certain point and asked the Group to guess what the outcome was. This was very engaging, all of the group members tried to guess the outcome.
The stories where:
1) The Orchestra Conductor and the Drummer (borrowed)
2) Daughter, Mother and Aunt
3) Husband, Wife and Mother in law
Now let's think about our own lives and how we can practice more Kindness and Consideration and other qualities.

Client/Group progress summary
This class was given as a refresher to the senior’s who participated in the Yoga Therapy for Stress Management Group. Three of the original senior’s participated. The location of where the class took place was at the main Senior Center building thus several additional seniors sat in on this class.
Reflection and self-evaluation
I really enjoyed working with the seniors again. It was good for them and for me too. All of the senior’s enjoyed the class.
Final Client/Group Report
After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
This was a refresher session. At this time no other class is planned.
