Homework assignment to client/group

Client did some mental alternate nostril breathing.
Talked about including some cat cow and upper body circles when she is string for a long time on her desk
Talked about the motto do your best and leave the rest, because client tends to overwhelm herself with a big to do list.

Activities

She showed up 30 min late for our meeting and apologized. She stated that she came from a meeting with her psychologist, she has worked with this psychologist for years and she knows her and her situation really well. Client states that she enjoyed the our first session and my approach. She states that she is stressed our by her son who does not know what he wants to do this coming year, he wants to take some time out. She also states that while her husband is supportive she does not feel supported by him in the right way. She has weekend plans with her husband and friends but she does not feel that she wants to go on the weekend trip because she is afraid that her pain will get worse and she is in a different environment. After talking about it and giving herself permission to cancel the trip she felt better.
Starting out with centering and breathing she states that she notices a slight pain in the trigeminal area of her face and her right arm.
We did alternate nostril breathing but without using the hand, just mental.
Started out with neck rolls, arm raises, including spinal twist and shoulder rolls she states that her neck and shoulders feel more relaxed.
upper body circles in the chair, cat cow in the chair
guided relaxation

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
