Homework assignment to client/group

Client did work a little on breathing but she did not work on doing her practices, she did write it down however.
Talked about starting to journal because she does like writing.

Activities

Client continues to have pain in her face and her right arm. In order to get help with the pain she recently saw a pain specialist, who prescribed her CBD spray. She states that she does not want to use it because she does not like to put substances in her body but her family encouraged her to try it so she decided to get it just in case but she has not tried it yet.
We talked about what causes her happiness. She states that she likes to cook, she likes to be at home with friends, she enjoys decorating her place ans she gets energy from taking care of her self and looking nice.
Talked about what triggers her pain. She states that she noticed that her pain becomes worse when she has emotional problems, when the weather is cold and it is winter, cold, rainy and overcast were she lives. Her pain gets worse when she feels overwhelmed and when she is lonely.
We started with centering and breathing practice.
neck rolls, ear to shoulder, shoulder rolls
arm raises, arm raises with twist
upper body circles in the chair
side bends with arm raises
cat cow
forward fold and back bend
tense nad relese followed by guided yoga Nidra

Client/Group progress summary

Her progress is pretty slow, she tends to start a lot of things but then gets overwhelmed and does end up doing just very little.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I don't want to be too harsh to the client but I am aware that I will need to hold her accountable so she will develop a practice routine.
I struggle with holding her accountable because I am afraid to come across as punitive.
She does have a tendency to show up late for our appointments, this also warrants further exploration.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

She did state that the tense release practice caused her pain to increase so I will not use this next time instead I will lead her in a guided yoga Nidra
I will continue to explore safe asanas for her
