Activities

I met my client in person today and because it was a sunny winter day she was wondering if we could to the initial check in while taking a short walk. I was happy to accommodate my client because connection to nature is a very nice mindfulness practice as well.
We discussed her homework and reading about svadhyaya. She states that one of the qualities that was mentioned was experiencing joy and that stood out to her she is really trying to embrace the joy and letting it be present in her life. She states that she is currently not in pain. She is also not feeling anxious and her mood is good. Her sleep has improved since she is back home. Her cognition is also improved, she is able to follow her online learning well and is able to engage. She continues to enjoy learning about becoming a death doula and what stands out for her the most is how important it is to provide that client with space and not to give and recommendations or judgement.
We then went inside to the mat and started with centering, deep breathing,
Followed by neck rolls ,arm circles, and chest openers.
When then pressing the hands together in prayer position she did not feel any pain, which is a great improvement to before when she had pain just pushing her hands together lightly, now she is able to hold it longer
Moon salutation
cat cow
child pose
puppy pose, she enjoys the stretch in her arms
thread the needle
chest to knee on the mat
lying twist
yoga guided yoga nidra

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

I will continue with the same plan and adjust as needed.
