Checking in with my client to day is our last session for my capstone project and before she travels to Egypt for 2 month .She states that she got so exited about becoming a death doula that now she almost does not want to do this extended trip with her husband .Talked about the the pros and cons of doing this trip now and how it might give her time toilet the impression that the training made on her simmer a bit.She states that she has worked on the homework about surrender and she liked that in the Yamas and Niyamas accepting what is happening in life was described as a dance "it is as we were partnered to life in a dance step. She states that she likes to learn how do dance salsa and how when you dance with a partner there is a give and take.
She also liked that we should accept with an open heart. She states that her anxiety is a lot less, her upper body strength improved ,her energy improved, her mood improved.

Client/Group progress summary

She has made wonder full progress improving her upper body strength , decreasing her anxiety .She took a lot of the yogic teachings and was able to apply them to life. She was able to reflect on her life and situation .It was wonderful to see her grow and develop. Her energy and courage to take a new path in her life and how this can be of service to herself and others.

Reflection and self-evaluation

It was a treat working with M.how she seemed to blossom during the time we did yoga therapy together .I am grateful that she let me walk a bit along side with her in her journey she gave me valuable feedback in how to be more precise in my teaching the different poses, especially while on zoom because I can't be there to correct her posture. Also in being more clear bout my guided imagery and not giving too many options.I could see myself growing more and more into the role as a yoga therapist.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

I will check in with her after she returns from her travels and I am very curious about her developing her business in becoming a death doula and she own yoga practice.
