| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. | Additional Information | |
| Feedback received from client/group, anecdotal or written | I really appreciated Tanja’s calm presence and listening. The check-ins at the start of each session felt rich in terms of self-reflection and spiritual exploration. And during the asana practice, Tanja incorporated what we had discussed (both spiritual elements and the discussed needs of my physical body). She seemed to be in-tune with my needs throughout the session and was responsive to adapt the practice as needed. It was the opposite of “cookie-cutter”. Instead, I felt my moment-to-moment needs were at the forefront. She was helpful in guiding me away from pushing through pain, and instead, checking in more closely with what my body needed and how I could support it lovingly. I found the process to be flexible and fluid, which was amazing. As a result, I felt supported, cared for, and more connected to myself. |
| Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework) | Reading from the book the Yamas and Niyamas by Deborah Adele. She enjoyed reading the different chapters ( eg.Santosha, Tapas, Svadhyaya...) and to have a discussion about the possible meaning and how it applies to her own life journey . |
| Personal reflection from doing client/group. | |
| Rough estimate of time spent in preparation and follow up documentation per session | 25 hours |
| What you would change with benefit of hindsight | I would do my sessions in the same manor. |
| Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support | My mentor guided me through the process and I felt supported. |
| Did you enjoy your service? | Absolutely , it was a gift to be able to be of service to my client and I feel honored to have deep discussions with her which furthered my own as well as my clients personal development. |
