A daily breathing practice.
She will take the dosa quiz from banyon botanicals and report back to me next time.

Client/Group progress summary

S. showed up for her session a little late feeling stressed. We talked about her anxiety and while she did not have problems driving this week. She did have a nightmare about work. We talked about the Ayurvedic concept of the dosas (data, pitta and kappa). I suggested to her to take a dosha quiz to find out more about her dosha, and a possible vata imbalance due to menopause. She was interested in taking the dosha quiz and will report back to me next session.

Reflection and self-evaluation

In preparation for the guided yoga Nidra, I asked my client if she had a favorite place and a favorite color. She choose the color green and the woods. So I took her on a guided meditation journey in the woods. She states that she really enjoyed the journey and the visualization. She definitely felt more relaxed at the end of the session. This made me very happy. She also enjoyed the asanas we practice together and the pace. I feel I was able to meet the client where she is.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

I am curious to see in the next session if I was able to motivate her to start a little yoga routine and breathing practice.
I am also curious to see the result of her dosha quiz and will continue to develop a more client centered yoga routine for her.
