Homework assignment to client/group

Home practice: Notice posture, natural curvatures of the spine and notice posture of the pelvis. Practice cat/cow, bridge, yogi squat and notice the movements of the pelvis and the muscles. 10 minutes/day
Continue with studio yoga class - with 1 or more classes per week
Extended exhales-circumferential breathing.

Activities

Check in: everyone said their energy level was medium and feeling good. Checked in via koshas. Noticed everyone was able to move with ease and getting up and down from the mat with no issues. Everyone was able to practice 10min/day at home in addition to studio yoga classes. MR-1 classes, AM-3, JG-2, ER-1

Philosophy: Continued with tapas - the burning and discipline. Taking small steps towards your goal and cultivating a sense of self discipline.

Breath: Non-attachment - vairagya letting go of clinging to outcomes. The pelvic floor holds a lot of unconscious tension, often linked to control, fear, and the need for security. Practicing vairagya—the ability to release attachment to tension and control—can encourage a softening of unnecessary gripping in this area. The pelvic floor is our physical foundation, linked to the root chakra, trusting and grounding.
Posture:
Continued with Wall: Standing mountain pose, noticing the spine, the 3 natural curves of the spine (lumbar, thoracic, cervical) Stand against the wall and notice the spine. Notice the natural position of the pelvis.
Continued with Mat: Cat/Cow - Place hands directly under the shoulder, knees below hips.
Cow: inhale - lift head and tailbone to the ceiling & arch the back down. - Notice: the lengthening of abdominal muscles & pelvic floor is lengthening
Cat: exhale - round spine up towards the ceiling, drawn navel towards spine. Head and tail toward ground. Notice: tucking of the pelvis & pelvic floor is shortening. Play around with cat/cow - Notice the pelvic floor muscles - notice the sensations and the engagement of the muscles. Child's pose-glute stretch, helps pelvis relax, gentle stretch the pelvic floor muscles. Inviting the breath to the sacrum and bak of the pelvic floor. Bridge pose - pelvic tilts, yogi squat (with rolled blanket under heels) to. allow pelvis to remain in a neutral position. Tuning into feeling the inhale and exhale in the pelvis. Gently allowing the pelvic floor muscles to stretch passively (p68) Low lunge - notice the glutes, notice the pelvis.
Added: bound angle pose (buddha konasana) - stretching the pelvic floor, putting the spine in a neutral position (p130)
Relaxation: tense and release, yoga nidra

Reflection and self-evaluation

I’m truly loving my time with the group—it’s not only fulfilling but also bringing me so much joy!

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
