Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Adjustments and adaptations you made to your care plan,

I made some minor adjustments to my care plan, for example, when she had trouble doing the dosha assessment, I decided that it would be best for us to do it together. I gave her different options to practice legs up the wall. I did not do forwards bends when she had a headache.

Client/Group Goals

She would like to improve her low back pain and her anxiety driving.

Report briefly on each Kosha belowProgress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas
Physical level

She was able to do a basic hata yoga class. She was able to practice the asanas at home and her low back pain improved.

Energetic level

Her energy level fluctuated a bit though our time together. Her basic energy is good but at times she has some rajasic energy, 3 part deep breathing, grounding with forward bend, mountain pose and repetition helped her to feel more static again. But at times when her work became more demanding and she did not practice, her anxiety came up again. We talked about sutra 1.13 effort towards steadiness of mind is practice and she wants to continue to practice even after our time tougher has ended.

Emotional

She does have times when she feels overwhelmed and depressed. Yoga practice helps her to feel calmer and more optimistic.

Intellectual / Sense of self

She is perfectionistic and has a low sense of self but she was motivated by our practice to develop a daily routine for herself and continue to practice on her own.

Spiritual orientation and support plan

She is does not attend church regularly but she likes to read and she finds comport in reading and getting together with her friends. She also enjoys her weekly yoga class. We discussed the book the secret power of yoga by Nischala Devi and her interpretation of sutra 1.13.
"devoted practice, abhyasa, cultivates the unfolding of consciousness".
