Homework assignment to client/group

Daily Breath Practice (5-10 minutes):
Continue practicing 3-Part Breath once per day, especially during moments of stress or overwhelm.
Spend 2-3 minutes exploring Nadi Suddhi at least 3 times this week—notice any shifts in ease or focus as you practice.

Reflection Prompt (Journal or Mental Notes):
Reflect on one moment this week where you noticed yourself holding on—whether to a thought, feeling, or outcome. How might the idea of Aparigraha (non-attachment) help you approach this differently?

Activities

Spent the first few minutes checking in w/ MM and asking her how the week was.

Centering (5 min): grounded in a seated position; worked on "om" w/ MM to start using her voice and engaging her throat chakra, then segued into breathwork.

Breathwork (10 min): revisited 3-part breath and checked in to see how it felt for her. Discussed whether she was able to utilize this tool during the week (which she said she did and how she likes how it is a "quick fix" to relaxing her). We moved into Nadi Suddhi and spent a few minutes practicing this technique as well. She mentioned that she finds this one a little more challenging.

Yoga Philosophy Discussion (10-15 min): began a conversation w/ MM on the 8-Limbed Path, and gave a brief explanation of it. Introduced the "Yamas and Niyamas" and what they are. Highlighted Aparigraha (non-attachment) and how it can apply to certain situations in her life.

Asana (20-30 min): Began seated in Sukhasana. Went into some joint activation work in the neck, shoulders, wrists and seated cat/cow. Practiced poses from prior week (Warrior 1, 2 and Goddess) and built off of these poses to focus on strength and empowerment. Included some standing balance poses including Warrior 3 (using the wall) and Tree Pose.

Relaxation (10 min): "Letting Go" meditation

Closing (5 min): discussion around the session and as well homework.

Client/Group progress summary

I felt really good about today’s session and continue to feel very at ease working with MM. She remains motivated and genuinely interested in everything we’re exploring together, which makes the process both enjoyable and fulfilling. Her openness to the practices and willingness to reflect on her experiences create a supportive and collaborative dynamic. It's clear she’s committed to her growth, and I’m grateful to be part of her journey.

Reflection and self-evaluation

Similar to session 1 - I feel committed to working with this client, I feel like I'm doing my best teaching her tools to heal, let go, receive and start to become more at ease speaking her truth and exploring her own voice. I look forward to more sessions and seeing where she can take this in her own journey.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

I will continue to build on the first 2 sessions introducing more types of breathwork to support her healing, more asana to support her building strength and tools to improve confidence, self esteem and an ability to be more outward in her needs and her voice. In building upon yoga philosophy, I will reinforce the concept of non-attachment, as well as introduce Satya - truthfulness - and integrate that into encouraging MM to speak her truth and building upon her confidence in order to do so.
