Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Client/Group Goals

Everyone in the group seemed to take away something meaningful from our time together—whether it was a new perspective, a breathing technique, or simply a deeper awareness of themselves. Several participants reported learning something during the series that brought them closer to the group’s overall goals, like finding ways to quiet the mind or experiencing better sleep at night. In that regard, I’d definitely consider the series a success.

Report briefly on each Kosha belowProgress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas
Physical level

By the end of the series, the group appeared noticeably more confident in their movements and in making use of the props offered. Several participants showed improved strength and coordination, and there was an overall sense of greater ease and self-assurance in how they approached the practice. It was encouraging to see them grow more comfortable in their bodies over time.

Energetic level

Definitely a broad range in the group and no real noticeable change - a mixed bag of Rajasic and Tamasic - but yet they were all dedicated to showing up for all sessions. In our last session some mentioned that they felt the benefits from the sessions in their ability to sleep better and felt a little more at ease using breathing techniques when they were feeling stressed out.

Emotional

Not too much change noticed unfortunately. And as much as I wanted to give the same Mood and Feelings questionnaire that I had given in the beginning to assess, I did not have the time at the last class in order to do so.

Intellectual / Sense of self

NA

Spiritual orientation and support plan

Did not address individual spirituality in the sessions but everyone was open to the concepts of Yoga Philosophy.

Additional Information
Feedback received from client/group, anecdotal or written

Everyone verbalized enjoying the sessions. I know several of the participants were hoping to get into the second group I was planning on doing. I did not receive anything in writing but they were very appreciative at our last class together.

Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework)

NA

Personal reflection from doing client/group.

What you would change with benefit of hindsight

I would make sure to have pre- and post- questionnaires in order to have something quantitative to document for progress. Either that, or I'd spend a few minutes at the end of the last session having them fill out a review for what they gained from the sessions so I'd have more insight into the results of the series.

Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support

Not at the moment since the group is done.

Did you enjoy your service?

I did enjoy it but found it very hard at times. I like to be of service for this demographic but I do feel like it takes a lot out of me, especially a group that size.
