| Presenting Problem | PTSD, Shallow breath, lack of focus, motivation, ambition |
|---|
| Physical | My client is a 52 year old female, coping with PTSD symptoms, shallow breath, jaw, neck, and shoulder tightness.
Her PTSD is due to childhood trauma of losing a brother at the age of 4.
This trauma got triggered a year ago and put her in a freeze mode.
She expresses that she was unaware of breathing while in the freeze mode.
She described herself as "a walking mummy" or "a robot".
She lost her father in 2020 and was mourning for about 3 years and then this trauma got triggered.
She was not allowed to cry or not taught how to handle her emotions as a child and told "to shut up and do the chores".
She has stressful relationship with her mother which made her to feel frustrated and angry.
She describes that her mother used her as a tool and a caretaker of her sister.
Her sister was not appreciative of her.
The client took care of her sister with driving, bringing food for her when she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and hospitalized.
She doesn't know much about her older brothers.
She is not talking to her mother or sister because it puts her in anxious mode.

| Energetic | Shallow breath, can breath deeply when done consciously now,
Unaware of her breath when she was in freeze mode.

Quality of sleep is good.
|
|---|
| Emotional | Has trouble focusing.
Tends to overthink when something bothers her.
Goes to talk therapy/occupational therapy to talk about grief, PTSD detachment style,
She had a feeling of loss or lost something for all these years. Now, she discovered what she lost which is the loss of her brother
Never allowed or taught how to deal with emotions as a child.
Had a hard time expressing her emotions.
Always told to shut up and get back to work
Now wants to mourn for the loss, wants to comfort herself by saying it is ok to cry, feel angry or sad
Wants to sit with the loss instead of suppressing it, denying it, tolerate it instead wants to sit with it and comfort herself
Wants to say she loves her brother and wants to hear her brother saying he loves her.

| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
