Presenting Problem51 year old female experiencing insomnia.
Physical

Overall physical health is the best she's ever felt in a long time; has lost 75 lbs (attributes to mindfulness).Rounded shoulders; Antiphospholipid treated with daily injections and no side effects or symptoms. Medically disabled and has had two open heart surgeries due to clots; History of Diabetes - her A1c in the past three doctor's visits have been perfect (attributes this to weight loss).

Energetic

Energy fluctuates depending on sleep. Appeared in between balanced and rajasic state. Mentioned not having much experience with breath work.

Emotional

Is in a very good place; Scored a 2 on a 1-10 stress level for the past week. Anything financial gives her anxiety, but she redirects (meditation and journaling).

Considers herself spiritual and a healer. Is open to all yoga practices.

Intellectual / Sense of self

Feels better than ever about herself; has been accepted to her graduate school of choice, Rutgers. Loves to write, journal and is into astrology. Is into astrology. Wants to better serve her community. Feels her verbal is not as expressive as her writing. In love with this version of herself.

Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn.
