Client/Group progress summary

KTS has made great progress throughout the sessions. She appears more relaxed than when we started. She's shared more as time passed. She stated that she liked the morning work since she can do it while lying in bed if she wants. She hopes we'll get together again when I'm in-country again.

She seems to have benefited from the movement and body awareness practices. She planned to and has been swimming at the Y, and has done some hiking with her spouse though she feels it's still too hot for that. She stated that she's stuck to her plan of being more self-aware. She likes the breathing practices and believes she'll implement them.

Reflection and self-evaluation

It's been a pleasure working with KTS. Working with someone who hasn't focused on exercise or the mind-body-breath connection made me realize how aware I am of the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model. I sprinkled the BPSS throughout the sessions underscoring the importance of being more than just 'body aware'. Learning how to bring this holistic approach into YT was at first a challenge. I didn't want to come across as omniscient but knew that explaining the interconnectedness of these things were important to one's overall health and well-being. We can't isolate our well-being, it needs to be viewed from a variety of angles. I hope to continue to work on this.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

To follow up with KTS when I'm in VA again to see if how she's doing.
