Mentoring Session Topic and Comments

Direct input, how to reword something so it doesn't sound like advice if the client chooses not accept the request. For example, "Perhaps consider,...".

Observations and challenges when a group leaves one exhausted due to differing levels of competency, interest (did the individual sign up or did their parent sign them up), my struggle to keep my balance during sessions. What could I do to alleviate these issues? I would not go through a third party but sign up students/clients, interviewing the parents as well as the individuals to ensure interest. I would have smaller groups, extra support, shorter sessions, and a lesser number of sessions in a 'package'. I would attempt to have a more cohesive group which would help me to determine if and how much help I would need, of what the group was physically and cognitively capable, as well.

We discussed the visit to the hospital with the client and the team running the medical trial in which he is participating. The doctors listened attentively, answered questions, but had few of their own. I provided a thorough explanation, and examples of some of the movements and breathing techniques. They were onboard with the yoga therapy.

To ponder clear rationale as to why I chose the asanas for my case study. Look at the practices offered through the lens of the gunas and vayus. Speak to the flow of prana. Discuss the ramifications of her treatment decisions (not having a rheumatologist). Consider when framing the capstone, if I am working as an alternative, complimentary or integrative YT? A combination of them? Regarding ishvarapranidhana and Bhakti, where would she be directing her energy, her 'higher being'. I just found the notes from the session, I introduced them as both focus on surrender, connection to something greater, and cultivating inner peace through Fatih, gratitude, and heartfelt practices.

What's providing her moral compass?

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
