| Client/Group progress summary | Eugene has practiced all assigned home practices and finds the awareness practice the most useful. Has not practiced the affirmations. Stress level was 10 for three days past week. Is having problems with peer at work and spent three days arguing with peer. Conflict is about technology, it is not Eugene's strong suit. He feels his peer is trying to leave him behind. He is tired and upset with himself. He knows he needs to learn this new program. He feels conflict in taking paternity leave with the current work situation and his wife pressuring him to take it - he knows the right thing to do is take the leave. Eugene found this session helpful because of the chair poses and he can practice them in the office. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I thought this session would be too slow and unchallenging for Eugene but he found it very useful especially the chair poses because he could do them at work. We discussed the four locks and keys to maintain peace in all relationships. We discussed how the awareness practice prepares us when encountering non-virtuose situation (work peer), with equanimity and witnessing the situation without engaging. We spoke about service, Karma yoga, how it applies in all we do, we give 100% and receive peace knowing we did our best. I learn most when I listen and adapt. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Stress busters and chair yoga sequence with longer holds on poses to a few breaths. Less is more. Any follow up questions to the four locks and keys. |
