| Session Date | 10/30/2025 |
| Session Number | 2 |
| Total Session Minutes | 60 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | Participants were encouraged to practice gentle stretching or a restorative posture in the evening with slow breath to support emotional release and relaxation. Journaling prompts included: “Where am I resisting flow?” and “What emotions or sensations arise when I soften and allow space?” |
| Activities | This session centered on wave-like movement patterns, extended exhalation breathwork, and fluid, rhythmic transitions to invite softness and ease. Participants explored where emotions move freely and where they feel restricted, using guided somatic awareness to observe sensation without judgment. A guided relaxation emphasized fluidity and the ability to let emotions move through the body like water. |
| Client/Group progress summary | The group showed increased emotional awareness and sensitivity to internal shifts. Some reported feeling emotions surface and move, while others noticed where they habitually tighten or withdraw. Participants expressed feeling safe to share and witnessed each other’s vulnerability with compassion. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | Participants noted both comfort and discomfort as feelings were allowed more room to be felt. Several expressed relief in recognizing that emotions don't need to be fixed — only acknowledged and allowed. There was a greater appreciation for slowing down and embracing emotional fluidity. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Next week will introduce the Fire Element, focusing on empowerment, warmth, and building inner strength. Practices will support healthy boundaries, self-activation, and releasing what no longer serves. |
