Homework assignment to client/group

Participants were encouraged to continue daily Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) to support mental clarity and balance, followed by a 10-minute journaling practice on self-expression. They were invited to reflect on where they hold back their voice—physically, emotionally, or creatively—and how that impacts their relationships and well-being. This was meant to strengthen awareness between inner truth and outward communication.

Activities

This week’s theme, “Finding Your Inner Voice,” invited participants to connect with self-expression and authenticity. The session opened with grounding breathwork followed by heart-opening sequences such as supported fish and gentle backbends coordinated with breath. Participants practiced humming and soft sound vibration to awaken throat and heart centers while soothing the nervous system. The creative practice featured guided free-writing around the prompt, “What truth wants to be spoken?” which encouraged participants to access intuitive insights and emotional honesty.

Client/Group progress summary

Group members demonstrated notable growth in confidence, articulation, and emotional awareness. Several participants shared that they felt more connected to their inner voice and noticed a release of self-judgment when expressing personal truths. The group dynamic was rich with empathy, humor, and mutual respect, deepening the sense of belonging and psychological safety. Collectively, participants showed more balanced energy and clearer self-awareness.

Reflection and self-evaluation

This week’s integration of sound, movement, and expressive writing supported a significant leap in the group’s self-understanding. I found that combining throat-centered practices with journaling created a strong bridge between inner sensation and authentic outward expression. I also recognized the importance of closing the session with grounding techniques to help prevent emotional overstimulation, especially as participants began accessing deeper layers of insight.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Week 4 will focus on “Integration & Renewal,” uniting the series’ previous themes into a cohesive closing experience. The session will feature an integrative flow, extended savasana, and guided visualization meditation on renewal. Participants will create vision boards or collages representing their evolving sense of self and creative purpose. The program will conclude with a group reflection circle, intention-setting ritual, and an invitation for ongoing self-practice.
