Client/Group progress summary

Progress - less stress, sleeping better most of the time. She has been able to confront her fears of social anxiety. She is allowing other people into her life. She never thought she would have another relationship; however, she has met someone she is interested in getting to know better. Jasiri opened up about her childhood experiences and challenges. She is able to sit in her emotions and breath through them to gain better understanding of where they are coming from. She has forgiven her deceased mother and has a better understanding of the why her mother behaved the way she did. Her father once told her that she was afraid of succeeding and that stuck with her, she feels she is ready to succeed and take up space.

Work in progress - She has lost over one hundred pounds, and no one told her about body dysmorphia. She really wants to work on time management.

Reflection and self-evaluation

We did not plan to have a two-hour session but that is how it worked out. Jasiri was late again because she was finishing up talking to her daughter.

We discussed her progress, goals, fears and strengths.

Wisdom teachings included in the discussion:

Questions to reflect on - What is she avoiding by not

This was a breakthrough session. I am so proud of Jasiri.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
