| Session Number | 4 |
| Total Session Minutes | 60 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | DD was encouraged to continue her personalized daily practice for 10–15 minutes and to schedule a longer restorative practice once a week (locally or through YouTube). Journaling or quiet reflection was offered as an optional ongoing tool, especially during moments of stress or uncertainty. |
| Activities | This final session focused on integration, reflection, and forward momentum. We began by reviewing shifts DD noticed over the past few weeks, both physically and emotionally. Gentle, breath-led movement was used to reinforce shoulder awareness and support a sense of stability without strain. Together, we created a short, personalized practice combining grounding, breath, and movement that DD can return to regularly. The session also included a meditation centered on inner authority, choice, and self-trust. Time was spent reflecting on boundaries, responsibility, and ongoing self-care supports. |
| Client/Group progress summary | DD demonstrated increased confidence in using breath and movement to regulate stress and respond to physical discomfort. She reported feeling more aware of her limits and more willing to pause rather than push through. While shoulder mobility continues to be a work in progress, her relationship to movement appears less guarded and more trusting. Emotionally, she expressed greater clarity and a growing sense of agency. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | In this session, I focused on supporting integration and reinforcing DD’s sense of autonomy. I was mindful of shifting from guidance toward empowerment, ensuring that the tools offered felt accessible and sustainable. I reflected on the importance of not positioning myself as the sole source of support, but rather helping DD recognize her own capacity and the value of additional resources. Overall, the pacing and scope felt appropriate, and the session supported a sense of closure while leaving space for continued growth. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | If DD chooses to continue yoga therapy, future sessions will focus on deepening consistency, supporting ongoing nervous system resilience, tools to cope and heal from grief and gradually building shoulder strength within a yogic framework. Continued exploration of boundaries, self-care, and external support options may be revisited as appropriate. The emphasis will remain on choice, safety, and practices that support long-term sustainability. |
