| Total Session Minutes | 60 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | MMa was encouraged to continue her established movement and breathing routine, adding a brief balance practice using a chair or counter for support. The home practice was framed as optional and adaptable, with an emphasis on stopping before fatigue. A reflection prompt was offered: “What signals tell me I’ve done enough today?” |
| Activities | This session introduced supported balance and weight-shifting activities to further build confidence and stability in standing. Movements were performed near a chair or wall, allowing MMa to explore balance while maintaining a sense of safety. Gentle strengthening for the hips and thighs was continued, with careful attention to pacing and rest. Breath awareness remained integrated throughout, encouraging MMa to coordinate movement with a slow, steady breath and to notice moments when holding or bracing occurred. Time was taken to pause between activities and reflect on internal cues of effort, ease, and fatigue. |
| Client/Group progress summary | MMa demonstrated improved confidence during standing and balance activities and required fewer verbal reminders to rest. She was able to identify subtle sensations of fatigue or instability and responded by slowing down or taking a break. She reflected on how noticing early signals in her body felt empowering and shared that she was beginning to apply this awareness to daily tasks at home. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I observed a growing sense of trust and self-awareness in MMa’s movement. I remained mindful to keep balance work accessible and non-threatening, prioritizing safety over challenge. I was attentive to moments when MMa began to overextend and used gentle cues to redirect her toward ease. This session reinforced the value of repetition, consistency, and inquiry rather than progression in intensity. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | In the next session, I plan to focus on integration and sustainability by refining movements that feel most supportive to MMa. I will introduce longer periods of rest and a brief guided relaxation to support nervous system settling. The session will emphasize consolidation of skills learned over the past weeks, helping MMa recognize progress and identify practices she feels confident continuing independently. |
