Homework assignment to client/group

MMa was offered a personalized home practice of approximately 10 minutes, combining gentle strengthening, functional movement, and slow breathing. She was encouraged to use this practice as a flexible resource rather than a rigid routine. A closing reflection prompt was shared: “How can I continue to listen to and honor my body in daily life?”

Activities

The final session focused on integrating movement, breath, and awareness into a cohesive and sustainable practice. MMa was guided through a gentle sequence combining seated, standing, and supported balance movements that she found most helpful over the previous sessions. Emphasis was placed on smooth transitions, pacing, and breath coordination. The session concluded with a longer guided relaxation, allowing time for rest and reflection and supporting a sense of ease and completion.

Client/Group progress summary

MMa demonstrated increased confidence, ease, and self-trust in her movement. She reported feeling more comfortable pacing herself and expressed appreciation for the emphasis on permission and choice. She noted that the skills practiced in sessions had begun to influence how she approached daily activities, particularly in recognizing when to pause or rest without guilt.

Reflection and self-evaluation

In this session, I intentionally shifted toward affirmation and consolidation, highlighting MMa’s awareness, adaptability, and progress rather than focusing on physical outcomes alone. I observed meaningful changes in her relationship to effort and rest, both physically and emotionally. This work reinforced the importance of meeting clients where they are and honoring subtle shifts in awareness as significant therapeutic outcomes.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Should we continue working together, future sessions would build on MMa’s established foundation with continued emphasis on balance, strength, and nervous system regulation, while adapting to her evolving needs. Ongoing goals would include reinforcing sustainable movement habits, deepening breath awareness, and supporting MM in maintaining clear boundaries around effort and caretaking in daily life.
