| Client/Group progress summary | By this final session, the client showed improved body awareness, pacing, and self-regulation. She described feeling more empowered in managing symptoms, noting, “I have tools now when my body feels unpredictable.” Fatigue and pain fluctuations remained present but were experienced with less distress and greater confidence in self-care strategies. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | During the final session, the client reflected on the overall experience of the six-session yoga therapy capstone program and evaluated the impact of the practices on her symptoms and daily functioning. She reported that the gentle pacing, breath regulation, and relaxation practices helped her feel more connected to her body and less fearful of movement. She shared, “I used to worry that moving would make the pain worse, but now I feel like I understand what my body needs.” The client described the breathing practices as particularly helpful for managing fatigue and emotional stress. She noted, “When I slow my breathing, everything settles down a little.” She reported using these techniques independently between sessions when experiencing increased fatigue or frustration. She also reflected on a shift in how she perceived her symptoms. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by fluctuating pain and fatigue, she described developing a more observant and accepting attitude. She stated, “The pain is still there sometimes, but it doesn’t feel like it controls everything.” The client reported that the mindfulness and relaxation practices improved her ability to pause and rest before reaching a point of exhaustion. She commented, “I’m paying attention earlier now instead of pushing until I crash.” Overall, the client evaluated the program positively and expressed appreciation for the individualized pacing and supportive environment. She concluded, “I feel like I have tools now. I know ways to calm my body and take care of myself when things flare up.” |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | I plan to follow up with the client once the capstone is completed to ask if she is interested in continuing. |
