Yoga philosophy/wisdom research reference(s)

Sutra I-15 Non-attachment – client is attached to what the physical body was once able to do.

Scientific research reference(s), why chosen, how you plan to incorporate 1-3

Tew, G.A., Howsam, J., Hardy, M. et al. Adapted yoga to improve physical function and health-related quality of life in physically inactive older adults: a randomized controlled pilot trial. BMC Geriatr 17, 131 (2017). https://doi.org/10.1186/s12877-017-0520-6

I choose this research article because it was similar to client’s sedentary lifestyle, mobility and accessibility concerns even though the study is for a much elderly population. The poses on Fig. 1 will be used as a starting point.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
