Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Adjustments and adaptations you made to your care plan,

During the second session, I planned to include restorative yoga because we met in the evening, and she just started her moon cycle. Therefore, I thought that a very gentle session would benefit her. We began the session with witness practice and pranayama before going into restorative pose. However, after the first restorative pose, she was comfortable where she was. So, I did not want to get her up and changing the position. Instead of doing more poses, I did guide imagery followed by deep relaxation instead.

Client/Group Goals

Her goal is to strengthen her body, be healthiest as her body can be and accept and love herself regardless. Her goal of strengthen her body has not achieved yet because we have been working on acceptance (which is one of her goals), energy conservation and fatigue. I just began to work with her on strengthening her body.

Additional Information
Feedback received from client/group, anecdotal or written

The client finds the therapeutic sessions helpful.

Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework)

• Breath of joy in the morning when her energy level is low.
• Place sticky notes in different rooms as a reminder to breath.
• Gentle stretching, breathing and mediation before bed.
• Activity logs and take note on how she feels (this will guide her on how much she can do before it becomes too much).
• Strengthening poses – chair, triangle (with chair), mountain pose with arm raise etc.

Personal reflection from doing client/group.
Rough estimate of time spent in preparation and follow up documentation per session3 hours
What you would change with benefit of hindsight

Schedule session in the morning.

Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support

Because of her hypermobility syndrome, I am unsure doing some poses in the chair. For example, are warrior two or triangle poses would be too much on her hips (extend leg)? During the last session, we did triangle standing up with support of a chair.

Did you enjoy your service?

I do enjoy my service. It is rewarding. I am also happy when my client told me that her doctor loves that I taught my client mudras to help with the flow of prana.
