Please include at least one suggestion from Karma, Bhakti, Raja, or Jnana Yoga tailored for this client/group.
Over time, we want to see something from each branch, selected, adapted and re-framed appropriately. Tools from each module should be used (not on each client/group – but overall)
The outline should show the sequence of practices as you plan to offer them. Your care plan proposal should be approved by the mentor before session 2 if possible, or 3 if approval is delayed by mentor.

Homework assignment to client/group
Reading assignments this week include handouts on the four paths of yoga and on The Yoga Sutras (1.1-1.7 and 2.1-2.3).
Asana and pranayama homework are the same as last week with the optional addition of some supine movements or tense and release.
I explained I am giving them a "tool kit" of practices they can draw from as needed according to their preferences as they manage feelings of anxiety and/or stress.
Activities
A new client, age 67, joined today. Her goal is "to learn relaxation techniques."
Today, we reviewed the homework reading on the five koshas and had a discussion about the koshas, why they matter, and how the techniques of yoga therapy address each layer.
One client shared that she had to go to the hospital twice in the past due to kidney stones. They basically just gave her intravenous fluids, time to pass the stone, and she paid a co-pay of $3,000 each time. This past week, she decided to stay home (to avoid the co-pay) as she passed a third kidney stone. She wanted us to know that the techniques of yoga helped her (she's a regular yoga student) with the pain and the waiting. She used breathing techniques and cat/cow movements and drank plenty of water. We talked about the fact that she was also able to do this because she had been to the hospital in the past and knew what to expect - so she wasn't telling people not to go the hospital if they have a kidney stone!
We discussed how yoga helps us master the mind (raja yoga intro).
We did gentle supine asana on the floor followed by a tense and release relaxation.
We reviewed the homework from last week: chair baby cobra, forward fold, twists; and two pranayama techniques (blow out the candle, and brahmari)
Client/Group progress summary
Clients seem to be enjoying the group interaction and the learning process. Today, one client said she wishes she could take me home with her. Haha! Clients also express surprise that "there is so much to Yoga."
Reflection and self-evaluation
I'm enjoying this group so far. I was a little apprehensive at first since this is something new, but the clients are open-minded and trusting me and the process we're in together.
Final Client/Group Report
After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
We will review the homework assignments and discuss their questions or concerns. I will have them fill out a form asking them to share some of their favorite symbolism around topics such as nature, animals, colors, etc. (This comes from the Healing Relationships module). I will use their responses to create an appropriate group guided meditation for our fourth meeting.
We will practice standing and seated asana followed by supine relaxation with extended exhalations.
