Homework assignment to client/group

Gunas questionnaire daily or weekly
Seated, standing, reclining asana (short) as needed daily
Reclining slow, deep breathing for stress management
Loaned her a Presbyterian prayer book she was interested in trying during the week

Activities

Discussed prana, shakti energy, and the usefulness of moderating sexual activity to channel that energy into healthy actions for body/mind/spirit.
Completed gunas questionnaire: She is much more sattvic than in the past. She was able to see this even though this is the first time we have ever done the questionnaire. She asked me to email her the document because wants to work with it daily or weekly to look for pattern and relationships between her choices/activities and how she feels.
Checked and refined her seated meditation posture in a chair and on the floor. She needs a thick bolster or other padding the floor to be able to sit tall and comfortably for her back and her knees.
Reclining slow, deep breathing for stress management.
Discussed making a personal retreat at a center in Richmond we've both attended in the past.

Client/Group progress summary

The client is very introspective and self-aware. She genuinely wants to be healthy, to improve herself for the sake of being able to do good in the world. She teaches creative writing, and has been working to bring creative writing workshops to various populations including a local cancer center.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I feel proud of myself for continuing to meet the client where she is, and challenging her appropriately.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
