Homework assignment to client/group

Working on cutting back on caffeine. She will replace her two cups of strong black tea in the morning with green tea. She will cut out soda with lunch and use Breath of Joy for an energy boost as needed.
Client will attend a weekend workshop at Yogaville.

Activities

Discussion about Yoga Sutras 1.2-1.4. She strongly connects with the concept of higher Self, or God within. Used the metaphor of Russian nesting dolls, the deepest Self is Divine. She is learning not to identity with thoughts and emotions. This is a very new idea for her, and she is intrigued. She is learning not to focus on the past or the future, thereby missing out on her own life. She says in the present moment, she is learning to "enjoy being alive."
We did asana in a chair, standing, and supine. Also restorative passive backbend.
We did breath awareness, 3-part breath, and extended exhalations for stress management.

Client/Group progress summary

Client is maintaining her healthy diet and exercise routine including asana. She notices this "helps with calmness."
Client is being consistent, feeling better overall, and making good progress.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I do need to remember to always do calming breathwork with this client for stress management. Overall, I'm pleased with the work I'm doing with the client.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Will review her experience at Yogaville.
Will review asana and breathwork.
