Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Adjustments and adaptations you made to your care plan,

The biggest modification I made was in our fourth session, where I changed to offering her restorative yoga poses and a guided shavasana practice.

Client/Group Goals

Based on the client's stated goal of having a deeper connection and understanding of her body, I believe she achieved this goal, and through the panchamaya kosha model learned that she is more than her physical body/anamaya kosha.

Report briefly on each Kosha belowProgress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas
Physical level

Reduced experience of tightness in hamstrings

Energetic level

Overall improvement in energy, with fewer experiences of the afternoon drop in energy with regular practice of nadi shodhana

Emotional

Client was more aware of the emotional shifts she experienced as a result of overextending herself. Was also more aware of the positive thoughts and emotions experienced when she made time for her practices during the week.

Intellectual / Sense of self

Client gained more awareness of self through the panchamaya kosha model, and has a strong desire to continue to learn and grow.

Spiritual orientation and support plan

Client has a mentor with whom she checks in on a monthly basis. She would also like to continue yoga therapy on a monthly basis.

Additional Information
Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework)

Homework for 11 March 2024:

Continue: Your walking meditation practice with Mella. Enjoy the quality time with her as
you take in nature. Would love to hear about this week’s practices next session, as
well as other opportunities to meditate this week.

Continue: Breath awareness throughout your day. What happens if you bring attention to
your breath when you feel a slump in energy before going for a sugary snack? What are other moments during the day where you could pause and focus on your breath? I’d be curious to see what you notice.

Practice: Using a tennis ball to gentle massage areas of tension: try under the sole of each
foot, gently rolling the ball; bringing the tennis ball to points of tension under the
glute while lying down.

Personal reflection from doing client/group.
Rough estimate of time spent in preparation and follow up documentation per session20 minutes
What you would change with benefit of hindsight

I have started making sure to give myself a little space before every client session - several minutes of mauna along with my own preparation practices (example - a heaven and earth centering practice inspired by Donna Eden). I want to always make sure I have taken the time to let go of what I do not need to carry into the session.

Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support

At present I don't have any particular area for this client that comes to mind.

Did you enjoy your service?

Yes. After my initial ego-driven nervousness ( of wondering if the client will enjoy the session, find the practices helpful, or think I'm a complete idiot...) - when I let go of those vrittis and just be present with my client, trusting the tools of yoga, I would leave each session humbled and grateful for the opportunity to be of service.
