Practice: Dirga Swasam - using the image of inhaling her favorite/most healing color of light, exhaling out what she described as "dark smoke"

Practice: nourishing herself with her food choices. Applying pratipaksha bhavana to her meals - choose not to focus on the negative, what you "should stop" eating - instead focus on what are foods you enjoy that you can add to your meals, foods that will nourish you and build you up?

Client/Group progress summary

The client arrived to the session tamasic and advised that she "almost cancelled." She had a devastating death in the family, as well as challenging interactions with several family members and chose to come in order to have some safe space.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I chose to throw out my session plan and offer a TRE session to the client as a way to let her focus on being present in her body and aware of her breath, and begin to physically release some of what she was carrying. I briefly let her know that I had planned on sharing some other practices with her, and given the option she chose the TRE practice. I do feel TRE was the better choice for where she was at the moment.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
