Client/Group progress summary

Two clients were absent today so I will call them to make sure they are okay and they realize next week is our final session. The four clients who were present today remained engaged with the topics and practices. They especially enjoyed the meditation pracrices we did at the end of our session today. They commented on how good the silence felt.

Reflection and self-evaluation

The group went well for me today. I was able to cover everything I intended to teach. These groups are so enjoyable because I love seeing people being amazed by how much yoga offers them. One client is making copies of her notes to share with a friend who takes yoga classes but doesn't know about anything more than the asana.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

The topic for next week is breath work. I will talk about prana, and explain various techniques and how/why they are used: 3-part breath, "ha" breath, breath of joy, sitali, brahmari, extended exhales, and alternate-nostril breathing. We will do a short asana practice, then focus on practicing the breathing techniques with explanation of how they can be used to lead into meditation.
