Homework assignment to client/group

Use any or all of the various philosophy and techniques we have learned over the past four weeks in daily life as needed.

Activities

Taught about the benefits of pranayama, and taught various techniques such as 3-part breath, extended exhales, "Ha" breath, Breath of Joy, alternate nostril breathing, sitali, and brahmari.
Reminded the clients how this fits into the eight limbs of yoga, and explained how to use pranayama to lead into meditation.
Asana: standing, kneeling, seated, supine. Gave them a short, simple routine they can do on their own.
Practiced supine 3-part breath, seated "Ha" breath followed by alternate nostril breathing, followed by seated meditation.

Client/Group progress summary

Clients greatly enjoyed this four-week series (8 hours total). Today, they talked about how glad they are that they joined the program, and they feel they have learned a lot of useful material. They asked where they can find my regular classes, so I directed them to my website where my class schedule is posted.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I really enjoyed working with these six clients. I enjoyed adapting the asana to their individual needs and answering their specific questions about the lecture material.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
