Homework assignment to client/group

Core strengthening sequence to add to her daily PT exercises. Loving kindness meditation. Kirtan Kriya.

Activities

Centering and grounding. Check-in. Client had been experiencing intense back pain the day before, staying in bed all day, so we focused on bringing length to the spine, freeing the hip joints, and a long guided relaxation for healing and nurturance. Down dog at the wall felt good in her body with no pain or causing any aggravation. The client chose to try her PT sequence and was pleased that she was pain free when practicing it. Full belly breathing practices both prone and supine.

Client/Group progress summary

The client’s back felt “great” after the session with significant relief from pain. Our practices are demonstrations of resilience and encouraging.

Reflection and self-evaluation

Be open to revising my plan and following the lead of the client.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Add more from her care plan such as is tolerable for the client. Practice the Kirtan Kriya short version with the client.
