| Homework assignment to client/group | Spend time in nature, in the park, connect to the divine. Core strengthening sequence to add to her daily PT exercises. Back muscle release at the wall. Loving kindness meditation. Try the Kirtan Kriya. |
| Activities | Centering and grounding. Check-in. Client arrived with stiffness, some grabbing back pain, and rigidity. Client was also experiencing occasional dizziness, so transitions were keep super mindful and slow. No forward folding. Seated spinal warm-up, full 3 part breath, down dog at the wall, back muscle release using tennis ball tied in a long sock. Client found this type of self-massage relieved some of her muscle tension and pain. Standing cow to neutral, empty coat sleeves, crescent in wide stance, slow playful dancing Ganesha. Client’s PT sequence. Restorative child’s pose with bolster up on blocks for neutral spine/no spinal flexion. Guided relaxation for healing and nurturing. Kirtan Kriya recording would not plan, so postponed the practice to next session on May 23rd. |
| Client/Group progress summary | At the end of the session the client felt refreshed, her breathing was fuller and her movements more fluid. Again, resilience in action. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | Client’s outlook is more positive, new job opportunities. Encourage balancing effort and ease in her life as her job demands increase. Client found it challenging to incorporate the hand gestures in dancing Ganesha. Something to work on for brain health. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Add more from her care plan such as is tolerable for the client. Practice the Kirtan Kriya short version with the client. |
