| Homework assignment to client/group | Practice for hand mobility, neck stretches, dancing Ganesha hand movements for brain challenge, and integrating rest time into her day. |
| Activities | As per care plan ~ Check-in, enter, ground, Awareness practice, warm-up including Ann Swanson hand movement sequence. Personalized guided imagery inquiry/intake, interactive, in-person with discussion. Client shared memories from various times in her married life and some of the difficulties she experienced during her husband’s decline and death. Standing asana: cow/cat, empty coat sleeves, downward facing dog, Warrior II with heart meridian trace, dancing Ganesha. Seated neck stretches, added chin lift to head tilt. Abbreviated healing heart meditation, closing. Outside of care plan. Client asked me to evaluate the way she practices downward facing dog and Warrior II. We adjusted her down dog to ease pressure on her hands: placed yoga jellies under her hands to increase the wrist angle and provide some firm cushioning. Warrior II, practiced proprioception and postural alignment of front knee and shoulders over hips. |
| Client/Group progress summary | The client is more aware of the benefits of taking time to rest outside of nighttime sleep which tends to be light for her. She is conscious about creating a strong base to stabilize her standing balance. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | Inquire with client about ways she can integrate her home practices consistently. I learn so much from this client, she is an inspiration. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Along with movement and an abbreviated healing heart meditation, guide client through the personalized guided imagery relaxation practice at the end of the session. |
