Homework assignment to client/group

Work with the 4 locks and 4 keys in daily life.
Use any other techniques we have learned/practiced as needed.

Activities

Discussed clients' use of EFT tapping over the past week. Reviewed the practice.
Presented a handout on the 4 locks and 4 keys with explanation and discussion. Since I have presented a lot of material from the Yoga Sutras, clients were curious about that.
Asana: standing sequence including balancing work; seated review of baby cobra, forward fold, and twists
Pranayama: supine breath awareness, 3-part breath, extended exhales
Body scan
Sound vibration meditation

Client/Group progress summary

Clients have excellent questions and comments as we have discussions each week. They specifically mentioned today that the techniques we have learned so far are very helpful. One client said if I offer the group again, she will pay for her husband to attend!

Reflection and self-evaluation

Since we have learned so much from the Yoga Sutras, I realized I need to bring in some copies of different translations so they can see what I'm talking about. I have translations by Satchidananda, Carrera, Desikachar, and Vivekananda to share with the group. Today's session went very well as I had planned it.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

This group has 3 more sessions. I feel like I'm out of new ideas, so I may just go back and review topics/practices we have already covered. I will ask for feedback from the mentoring group this week.
