Breath and water breaks throughout the day (20’ alarm). Complete ayurvedic assessment.

Activities

Observe breath and report. Demo using tai chi-type movements to release stress. Yogify some of her PT. Practice spinal stenosis protocol beginner series (all with strap) including supine head to big toe, janu sirsasana, staff fold. Talk about ahimsa/self-compassion. Breathe through mantra: I do enough, I have enough, I am enough.

Client/Group progress summary

Feels breath in belly, feels belly/ribs expand on inhale, but feels can’t inhale fully. Recognizes resistance is mental. ⅗ breath feels ‘ok’.

Wants a formula for life: diet, exercise, etc.

Reflection and self-evaluation

Challenge to meet with her only short time each session, but feel like we get a lot done knowing we have only a short time. Wondering if I’m challenging too much too fast. Will check in before next session.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Continue with back protocol. Continue to train on proper breathing. Practice noticing where feelings/tension are held + promote relaxation. Share any insights from review of dosha assessment.
