| Total Session Minutes | 60 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | Practice ‘yogafied’ PT exercise, restorative pose in bed, mindful practice of the Serenity Prayer, metta meditation |
| Activities | Talk / check in. Center with body awareness. PT exercises to yogify them, adding breath and mindfulness. Tried a few one-sided movements based on scoliosis curve. Restorative pose with breath. Mindful prayer and metta meditation. Talked about 4 locks and keys. |
| Client/Group progress summary | Client has not been motivated to do anything except prepare for impending divorce. She did the restorative pose once, and asked if it ‘counts’ if she does it in bed. (Yes, since she’s not staying in bed during the day; she’ll do it to rest at night vs being constricted when she falls asleep.) Also mindful practice of the Serenity Prayer, and metta meditation. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I thought she may just want to talk, considering the way she showed up, but she really got into the PT exercises (she hasn’t been doing them), and appreciated the prayer and meditation. We met on Zoom, as that was what worked best today and will do that again next time. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | I plan to research scoliosis before meeting again. Continue with what we’ve been doing with the PT exercises and at least one restorative pose. We may stick with exactly what we’ve been doing physically, and work more on the emotional and spiritual aspects. |
